South Shore Women's Business Network – Wildlands Trust

Location: Davis-Douglas Conservation Area, 675 Long Pond Road, Plymouth, MA, 02360

Join the South Shore Women's Business Network for a refreshing Net-Walking event with Wildlands Trust. Wildlands Trust is a nonprofit that has been protecting and stewarding land across Southeastern Massachusetts since 1973. This unique networking opportunity combines the benefits of outdoor exercise with valuable business connections. This fun is about fostering relationships, connecting with nature, and dialing up the self-care.

We begin promptly at 9:00 AM, meeting at Wildlands Trust’s headquarters located at Davis-Douglas Farm, 675 Long Pond Road, Plymouth. It will be led by SSWBN’s own Cheryl Jones, a volunteer hike leader for Wildlands Trust, and Amy Burt, Programming Coordinator for Wildlands Trust. All hikers will be required to complete a waiver at check-in.

Parking:

Park at Wildlands Trust’s headquarters at Davis-Douglas Farm, 675 Long Pond Road, Plymouth, MA 02360.

Parking is available along the gravel road. Overflow cars can park parallel to the gravel road.

Directions from Route 3: Take Exit 7 (old Exit 3) and head southwest on Clark Road. Turn left at the intersection onto Long Pond Road. Turn a sharp right into Wildlands Trust’s headquarters at Davis-Douglas Farm at the “Entrance” sign.

Meeting:

We begin promptly at 9:00 AM. Meet us at the barn by walking up the small, winding gravel path from the parking lot.

What to Wear & Bring:

     Water

    Snack

     Sturdy, closed-toed shoes

     Weather-appropriate clothing for outdoor activities

     Sunblock or sun protection

     Bug repellent

     Business cards for networking

     A positive attitude and a willingness to meet new people!

W hat to Expect:

     Complete a Wildlands Trust waiver at check-in

     Hiking 2 miles at a 30-minute per mile pace over rooted, pine needle-covered (slippery!) trails, with sections of occasionally prolonged, steep terrain.

     The route starts at Wildlands Trust's headquarters and follows the green trail to the Beech Tree and back.

     Wildlands Trust volunteers and staff to guide you!

Restrictions:

     Ages 18 +

     No pets

     Limit 15 participants - PLEASE PRE-REGISTER 

     Members & Non members are welcome
